We walk through this

You aren’t alone in feeling the tidal wave of nerves leading up to having your photos taken.

Preparing for life events like marriage, bringing a baby home, or your next big move… it’s all scary and thrilling. This is where I step in to guide you, put you at ease, and make sure you’re taken care of.

I trust that you’ll share who you are, vocalize what matters to you, and tell me what works for you & what doesn’t.

Trust is paramount in our relationship.

—Joe

“Our photos are something I will treasure forever. Lizzie just gets us. We want to hire her for every big moment in our lives.”

In return, I ask that you trust me to guide you, to direct you, and to help you through this process, so you can rest easy.

Weddings & Elopements

Your sacred Day

The day you two are planning is uniquely you. That should be treasured and held closely.

Sweet friend, this shit is wild, isn’t it? Planning a wedding… it’s just, a lot. I want to give you a hug and tell you to be kind to yourselves. Instead of stressing over planning, stay focused on why you’re getting married in the first place.

My focus on my work has changed along with my heart. I know that it’s in the right place. It’s here for you, to document real life, real love, realness.

You guys got this and I got you.

I take a maximum of 10 weddings a year, so I can dedicate my energy to each couple and to my own family. Balance is crucial to my process, because I believe we’re more than just one segment of our lives. This is the work I love doing. It’s the one I rehearse and practice and learn & grow from, year after year.

I do it for you, and I do it for me.

Minimum investment is $4200; average investment is $4500.
All wedding collections come with a complimentary engagement session.

Get in Touch about your big day

Your hands may tremble. Your voice may shake. Your heart will race.

But the moment you see them, it all fades away.

The first step is to fill out my inquiry form, and I’ll be in touch to schedule a Zoom call with both of you. We’ll chat about your expectations, plans, questions, my process, work, and everything in between.

If we find it’s a solid match, I’ll send over a brochure with collection options for the two of you to review.

A 30% non-refundable retainer & signed agreement is required to reserve the date. After that, you’re locked in and we are in it! WOO!

How do I book you for my wedding?

Wedding day coverage ranges from 6-10 hours, with a la carte options for additional hours, second photographers, and additional services.

Your final edited gallery with high-resolution images will include a minimum of 50-70 images per hour. Options for album design will open up to you after your gallery is delivered as well.

All wedding collections come with a complimentary engagement session, which includes a minimum of 30-40 images per hour, as well as assistance planning your session, choosing a location, and selecting outfits.

What’s included when I hire you to photograph my wedding?

Putting a hard number on these is always tough, but at minimum, you can expect about 50-70 images per hour for weddings and 30-40 images per hour for engagement sessions.

How many images will I receive?

Wedding galleries take about 8-10 weeks for me to edit & send your way. However, I’ll send you a generous gallery of b-e-a-utiful previews within 7 days of your wedding day to hold you over until the final gallery is all done.

Engagement session galleries take about 4-6 weeks to complete & deliver.

When will I receive my gallery?

All your files will be sent to you in an online gallery for immediate download. High-resolution files are available for the primary clients only; web resolution will be available for all other family members & vendors.

You’ll receive personal printing rights to all your images, so feel free to print through the gallery website or take them wherever you heart desires.

Note: Your gallery is available for download for one calendar year, and it’s your responsibility to download to your computer or phone.

How will I receive my images?

That’s a naw for me, dawg.

Can I have RAW files or unedited images?

I’m all for it. Nerves hit differently on a wedding day — they flutter around and make you feel totally out of your element. And then you feel a wave of relief when you see your person… you know, the one you spend every day with. The one you roll over to see in the morning. The one you share coffee with. The one you fight over folding laundry with.

That same person is all gussied up, but they’re with you. And for a moment, you get to just be you two. Because, before all of this chaos and celebration, it was just you two… and after, it will be just you two. So, why not make time to just be… just you two.

How do you feel about having a “first look” or a moment alone together before the day starts?

Talking about money is hard. But photographs are the one physical reminder of this precious day that remains after the dust settles. My wedding collections for celebrations in Northeast Ohio start at $3600 with the average couple investing about $4200. All wedding collections come with a complimentary engagement session.

How much is it to work with you?

First and foremost, it’s been years in the making to get to this point, where I know your investment in me is just as valuable as my investment in you. I know what it’s like to plan a wedding… to add up the numbers, and to feel like, “Holy shit. Is this really what it costs to throw a wedding?!”

Yes, it’s an investment. And photography is one that’s wildly important. I’ll be with you in the trenches. I’ll be your right hand man… your source of information from day one. I’ll be the one helping you plan your timeline, coordinating with planners & vendors, and making sure locations are perfect and you have everything you need.

I take this responsibility seriously, because I know the gravity of my job. I’m holding onto precious cargo. And because of that, I’ve worked tirelessly to ensure my clients know that they are investing wisely in me, the same way I am in them.

That feels like a big investment. What’s the deal?

No.

If I pay in cash, can I get a discount?

Nope. But trust me, I got you on this. As your photographer, I’ll take into consideration what feels best to be in black & white versus color. At the end of it all, if you have a handful you’d like to put into black & white, we can do that. But it won’t be for all images.

Do we get every image in both black & white and color?

Engagement sessions tend to last about 60-90 minutes, depending on the flow of the session, the location, and the people involved.

I try not to rush this process, but I also try not to draw it out past the 2 hour mark.

How long do engagement sessions usually last?

I don’t push a plethora of outfit changes, because it’s a whole lot of hassle. Wear what feels like you, what looks natural, and what won’t clash with the environment we’re working in.

I’ll ask you to text me outfit ideas before your session, and I’ll provide guidance on what will look the best for you guys.

Should we bring outfit changes to our engagement session?

Yes you may, but I kindly ask that you do not bring any pets with reactivity issues. This means if they take a long time to warm up to strangers, have lashed out in the past, are easily distracted, or will take up a lot of our energy.

I absolutely love doggos (I have two of my own), but I find they really deter from the energy of a session if the dog isn’t used to being in public. Please use your best judgment. I cannot be in charge of wrangling a dog for photos on top of making sure you’re comfortable.

Can I bring my dog to our engagement session?

Please, no. It’s a little weird to have someone watch us while you’re having such an intimate time documented. I politely ask that you do not bring an audience. If someone is coming along to handle your dog, they can come grab that pupper, say hello, and depart.

Can I bring my mom or friend or whoever to our session?

My contract has been looked over with a fine-toothed comb. It’s for you and for me. I’ve worked really hard to ensure we’re cared for, and, God forbid the worst case scenario happens, that we’re covered.

So, politely, no. We will not make any changes to it. Period. Please don’t ask me. It’s awkward. It’s the most business-y thing we do together, promise.

I read your contract — that shit is intense. Can I make some changes? My dad/uncle/friend/cousin’s neighbor is a lawyer and said…

Absolutely. All my gear. Me. Yes.

Are you insured?

Canon bish over here! I use a Canon 5D Mark IV and a Canon 5D Mark III. Both are my ride or die.

What gear do you use?

—Brigid

“Add assertiveness to the list of ‘What Lizzie does really, really ridiculously well.’ She absolutely nailed lassoing our large, relatively good-natured yet grief-giving families ALL. DAY. Families & Portraits

Let's freeze time

Family sessions are a wonderful way to commemorate the ebb and flow of your wild bunch.

Family sessions are usually about 60 minutes long and can take place anywhere your family feels the most at home — in your house, on a walk around your neighborhood, in a park, up on Lake Erie, or at a special spot you all like to visit.

You can also center the shoot around an activity you all like to do together — hiking, playing board games, hanging out in the backyard, or enjoying a walk — whatever gives your kids an opportunity to be kids.

Sessions start at $450

It’s all about taking the pressure off of our time together.

FAMILY SESSIONS

This is all about you — wearing what makes you shine, and spending time in an environment that brings out your energy. We tailor the session to enhance who you really are.

We’ll work together to make sure you’re feeling confident and prepared. I’ll guide you through outfit selections, calm your nerves before the camera comes out, and make it so you can really enjoy this time.

PORTRAIT OR SENIOR SESSIONS

When you’re considering documenting these moments, please know I’m familiar with this season, too. When I had my son, I knew the feelings of wanting things to feel like they used to — having a clean home & knocking things off the to-do list — while also wanting to just rest and hold my baby.

Let’s make your photos one less thing to stress over. I’ll come to your home when YOU feel ready, and I have one request: do not clean your home or try to make it perfect. My job is to make this experience stress-free, and help you settle into your session with calm.

NEWBORN SESSIONS

The first step is to fill out my inquiry form. If we find it’s a solid match, a 50% non-refundable retainer & signed agreement is required to reserve your spot.

If you’re booking a newborn session, we’ll set your date for your due date, and we’ll adjust the actual session date once your little one arrives. You can give me a heads up when you feel ready for me to come into your home. Rest up, mama. Don’t rush it.

How do I book you for a family or portrait session?

All my knowledge and guidance is number one. Along with that is your online gallery with 100-200 photos high-resolution images, personal printing rights, delivery in 4-6 weeks, ability to order prints through a digital gallery, and cloud storage for up to 6 months.

What’s included in our session?

At minimum, you can expect about 100-200 high-resolution images.

How many images will I receive?

Galleries take about 4-6 weeks for me to edit & send your way.

All your files will be sent to you in an online gallery for immediate download. You’ll receive personal printing rights to all your images, so feel free to print through the gallery website or take them wherever you heart desires. Note: Your gallery is available for download for 1 calendar year, and it’s your responsibility to download to your computer or phone.

When & how will I receive my gallery?

Family sessions start at $450 and newborn sessions are $550. Session prices may increase depending on location and travel time from Akron area.

How much is it to work with you?

No.

If I pay in cash, can I get a discount?

Family and portrait sessions usually last about 60 minutes. However, if we run into a few speed bumps, meltdowns or hiccups we can always have a little wiggle room.

When it comes to newborn sessions, the truth is, babies totally run the show. Period. So, while I can say sessions usually run about 60-90 minutes, there’s always room to allocate more time for blowouts, nursing, fussy moments, lots of cuddles, or whatever else you need. We don’t rush this time. Feel free to turn on music, white noise, or the TV — whatever ambiance they’d usually have to soothe them.

How long do these sessions usually last?

Hear me out: Your home has people who live in it. It should look lived in. Please take the pressure off to strive for perfection. If you feel the need to tidy, that’s fine. Make it as cozy as you like. I’m passing zero judgment.

And if you’d prefer, we can visit a studio space in the Akron or Cleveland area. This will be an additional fee, and I will assist you in finding a space.

Our home isn’t really Pinterest-y. Where will we take pictures?

At this point in my career, I don’t take on any styled infant or family shoots that are themed or have props. I will happily pass along information for photographers in the area who specialize in this.

Are there any types of sessions you don’t take on?

Yes, you may, but I kindly ask that you do not bring any pets with reactivity issues.

Can I bring my dog to a session?

Duh. They’re part of your family. However, if your dogs are not great with new people I politely ask that you keep them outside or in a separate space. I’ve had a bad encounter with a dog and I won’t have another. Ya girl is not a fan of big, scary (protective) dogs.

Can my pets or other children join my newborn session?

I’ll be releasing all my seasonal mini session dates through my newsletter. Sign up here to get on the list.

When are your mini sessions?

No. For family sessions please only bring one outfit per person to wear during our time together.

For newborn sessions, I recommend two outfits max. Changing a baby makes them angry, so let’s not overdo it. And honestly, a sweet little babe in a diaper is just as cute. Same with a swaddle. And neutral tones are usually your best bet for colors.

Should we be prepared for outfit changes?

—Rebecca & Jesse

“Lizzie will forever be our number one choice for family photos. She never made us feel pressured to be a certain way. When the kids were unruly, she patiently helped and used her creative eye to capture some truly tender, real parenting moments.

Not the Instagram-perfect posed photo, but the ones of my husband snuggling our baby & keeping him warm, and my toddler running around with his coat out like a cape to burn off energy because that's who he is.

The moments that should be captured are the real moments that embody my family's personality and natural dynamic."

Branding Sessions

Telling your story

Your work is an extension of you, and it’s worth sharing.

Small businesses are run by people, and just like all my other sessions, I fully believe in showcasing people in their element.

These storytelling brand sessions can showcase you, your process of creating, and the final product. The timeline from start to finish is nuanced, so we can cover all the steps in between.

Branding sessions start at $500 for one hour and increase depending on the needs of each client.

The first step is to fill out my inquiry form, and I’ll be in touch to schedule a Zoom call with you. We’ll chat about your business, the story you want to tell, and how I can help capture the essence of your brand.

If we find it’s a solid match, a 50% non-refundable retainer & signed agreement is required to reserve your spot.

How do I book you for a branding session?

Sessions can last anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on your needs. The best way to plan our session is to hop on a call and talk through your business, what kind of imagery you hope to capture, how we can best showcase your work, and how I can help you through it.

I’ll assist you with location & outfit selection, choosing who will participate in the session, what type of lighting we’ll need, and any other important decisions.

How much time is allocated for branding sessions?

It depends. If there are multiple aspects that are important to telling the story of your small business, we might break it up into two separate days so we aren’t rushing the process. For instance, day #1 might focus on just you & your work, and day #2 could focus on your staff or family members.

I want to have different photos that include me, my staff, my work, etc. Do we need more than one day to cover this?

For these particular sessions, you’ll have full use of these images for commercial use. If you’re selling images for any reason, you’ll need to contact me, as this is covered in my copyright portion of my contract.

Do I have the rights to use these for commercial use?

Yes, absolutely! And I can help you choose outfits for the session. Neutrals, subtle patterns, and clothing you feel confident in are the best.

Can I bring outfit changes?

Absolutely. We can talk about locations that would fit the aesthetic of the session.

What if I don’t want to use my home or current office space? Can we use a studio or different location instead?

Mentorship

Photography + Business

There’s a special spot in my heart for folks who are just starting out on their photography journey.

It can feel daunting to pick up a new hobby and shift it into a business. There are nuances, details, and important parts to building a strong business that I want to share with you — the kind of mentorship that I was lucky enough to receive, and what I want to pass on.

Mentorship isn’t just about showing you how to photograph a beautiful session. It’s about how to build a business that isn’t a source of immense stress — one that you can manage with confidence, so you don’t burn out after only a couple of years.

My heart lies in education and giving young photographers the ability to have a business that is an extension of who they are.

Sessions start at $450 for a 1-hour Zoom session and $800 for an in-person session.

The first step is to fill out my inquiry form, and I’ll be in touch to schedule a Zoom call with you. We’ll chat about where your business is today, where you want to take it, and what tools you need to set the tone for the rest of your journey documenting memories.

How do I book a mentorship session?

My mentorship sessions can take place via Zoom or in-person, depending on what you want to cover and where you live.

Zoom sessions are 1 hour, and in-person sessions are 2 hours (1 hour of office-related computer work + 1 hour of shooting, unless you want to solely focus on back end workflow/business related topics).

Where do your sessions take place?

Here are the different topics we can cover in our time together:
  • Editing & Lightroom
  • Client Communication & Honeybook
  • Workflow
  • Taxes, Expense Tracking, Money Stuff
  • Contracts
  • Website Review
  • Whatever else you want to know!

What will I learn?

YES! If you are just considering starting your photography business, we can start with the foundations of what it would take to get things moving along. This is usually the toughest part to make sure all your ducks are in a row.

What if I haven’t even started my business yet? Can we start from the ground up?

Yes, I’ll refer you to the professionals I’ve trusted to help me with the backend part of my business, from accounting, taxes, and financial planning to insurance, contract reviews, and more.

Do you have referrals for outsourced services (accountant, lawyer, etc.)?

Nope. Although the setup on the camera is different, the universal settings for lighting are the same. We can make it work.

Is it an issue if I shoot Nikon and you shoot Canon?

Yes. I have two cameras, and you can borrow mine for a mentorship session.

I don’t own a fancy camera yet, but I want to practice photographing a couple. Can I borrow yours?

I live in the Akron area, and if you wanted to do an in-person session, you would have to travel to me.

Where are you located, and do I have to travel to you for an in-person session?

During the week after 7pm EST or on the weekends. This is subject to change when my little man goes to daycare :)

When do you do your Zoom sessions?

Yup and yup. I will send it to you when you’re ready to book. A non-refundable fee is due in full to book your mentorship session.

Is there a contract for mentor sessions?

“If you feel awkward in front of a camera, Lizzie is the photographer for you. She’ll keep you laughing, and you’ll feel natural right away. She has an amazing eye for both small, intimate details, as well as dramatic, scenic shots. She is so accommodating, comforting, organized, hilarious, loving, and talented.”
